Core Beliefs
The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for faith and life. Written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Scripture is completely trustworthy and reveals God’s truth to humanity. The Bible teaches us who God is, His plan for salvation, and how believers are called to live.
God
We believe there is one true and living God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is holy, loving, just, and sovereign over all creation. He created the world and everything in it and desires a personal relationship with every person.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to earth, born of a virgin, and lived a sinless life. He willingly gave His life on the cross to pay the penalty for sin and rose from the dead, defeating sin and death. Jesus is the only Savior and the only way for humanity to be reconciled to God.
Salvation
We believe that all people have sinned and are in need of salvation. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace and cannot be earned through good works or personal effort. It is received by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. God desires for all people to be saved, and each person must personally respond to the gospel by placing their trust in Christ.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and works in the lives of believers. The Spirit convicts the world of sin, leads people to faith in Christ, and dwells within every believer. Through the Holy Spirit, believers are guided, strengthened, and equipped to grow spiritually and live a life that honors God.
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ made up of all believers. The local church exists to worship God, teach His Word, encourage believers, and share the gospel with the world. The church is called to be a place of fellowship, discipleship, service, and spiritual growth.
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe baptism is an act of obedience for believers that symbolizes their faith in Jesus Christ and their new life in Him. Baptism is practiced by immersion and is a public declaration of faith. We also observe the Lord’s Supper as a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice and a time of reflection and worship.
The Return of Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ will one day return again. At His return, God will bring His plan to completion and establish His eternal kingdom. Believers will spend eternity with Him, and all people will ultimately stand before God.
