What we offer ...
Are you looking for a church? Or just any church?
Perhaps you have moved and are unfamiliar with the area. Or
you could be a new Christian in need of a place to worship. Maybe you
have not been to church in a while and would like a fresh start.
Whatever your situation, we want to invite you to Brighton Baptist
Church. I will be the first to admit that we are not a perfect church,
but we serve a perfect Lord and Savior.
I believe the significant qualities of a healthy church focus on four areas: the Bible, Missions, Evangelism, Fellowship.
We attempt to do that in the following ways:
BIBLE: We believe that the
Bible is truly the inspired word of God without error. It is our goal
that it is presented in truth during our Bible studies and worship
services.
MISSIONS: As a Southern Baptist
Church, we support our missionaries on both the Home and Foreign
fields. We support missionaries through the cooperative program and our
annual mission offerings.
EVANGELISM: We desire to be a witness for Christ by both our lifestyle and spoken word.
FELLOWSHIP: We give
opportunities for people to share their life and life experience
through ministries in the church and outside the church.
Our ministries
Children Grades K-6
The ministry to our children involves more than activities. Whether we are playing games, going on a trip, or in Sunday School...we hope to surround it with a Christian environment
Students Grades 7-12
The key word to a solid Student Program is “consistency.” Brighton Baptist Church attempts to consistently meet the needs of our students through Bible study, Fellowship, Retreats, and Trips. Our Student Leaders are very committed to keeping in touch with our youth and providing direction.
Senior Adults
Our Senior Adults or better known as the “Golden Agers” are a very active group. They meet every 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month for lunch and other activities which include excursions trips as well as day or afternoon outings.
Music
Our Adult Choir meets regularly to prepare music for our worship services. Our music program also involves our children who learn music and prepare for special occasions.
Nursery
A nursery is provided for all services.
How to become a Christian
Consider this question: “Have you come to a place in your life that
you know for certain you have eternal life and that you will go to
heaven when you die?”
Know this:
1. God loves you and has a purpose for your life. God’s purpose is that you have eternal life. (John 3:16)
2. We are all sinners by nature and we cannot save ourselves. (Romans 3:23)
3. God is holy and just and must punish sin. Yet He loves us and provides forgiveness for our sins. (John 14:6)
4. God sent Jesus to die on the cross for our forgiveness. Jesus was raised from the dead. (1 Peter 3:18; Roman4:25)
5.
We must repent of our sins (Acts 3:19); place our faith in Jesus
(Ephesians 2:8) and surrender to Jesus as Lord. (Romans 10:9-10)
Receive
God’s gift to eternal life today. Invite Christ into your life and
commit your life to Him. Call us at 476-6180 when you make your
decision for Christ.
