Children's Programs

Below is a listing of some of our regular activities for children. If you have any questions or need more information please contact Joey Carter.

AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed)

The Awana children's ministry is provided for ages Pre-K through 6th grades. Awana meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 p.m. We offer an Awana meal with a "kid-friendly" menu for the children which cost $1.00 each. Awana includes praise and worship music, missions, recreation, scripture memorization, and a Bible-based learning lesson each week. An Awana store is provided for the children twice during the Awana year which begins in August and ends in May. The recognition service for each child's accomplishments is held at the end of May.

Monthly Activities

Activities are planned each month for children Pre-K through 6th grades Examples of activities are: bowling, Memphis zoo, movies, gym activities, putt-putt, etc.

Children's Choir

The children's choir meets once a week and is constantly working on new songs and plays to perform. Please keep an eye on the announcements and upcoming events to find out what they are doing next.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is for children Pre-K through 6th grades and is usually held the first week of June. Breakfast and lunch are provided for the VBS students, along with a snack during VBS. A VBS kick-off event is held the Sunday evening before the week of VBS with games and refreshments for everyone!

Children's Camp

For children completing 1st-6th grades
Camp Adventure to South America, Mission Weekender
June 25-26, 2010
Camp Linden
Cost $50 (includes 3 meals and the 1-nights lodging)
At this camp, you will meet 3-4 missionaries from South America and learn more about missions.

Fall Festival

An event is held on Oct. 31st at the church. Children can dress in non-scary costumes and enjoy refreshments, games with prizes, and hayrides! This event is free and we invite everyone to attend.

Hayride Christmas Caroling

The children go Christmas caroling on a hayride to several homes in the community. Just bundle up and bring a blanket - it's a lot of FUN!
