WMU News for January

1. January 10th at 10:00 a.m. at Munford Baptist Church.
The project is "gently worn" clothes, sizes 1-15, to be distributed by the mission trip of the Big Hatchie to Thailand. After the program, lunch will be served.
2. Our meeting here at the church will be Tuesday, January 17th at 7:00 pm. Hope to see you there.
3. Don't forget PURE WATER, PURE LOVE
This project is to fund a well in a third world country whose water is contaminated and causes many deaths per year. The cost of the project is $2600. We are asking each family to take a water bottle, fill it up with change, return it to the well and get another bottle. Together we can make this happen. Thank you for your support in this mission project. We have collected $1700 as of Jan. 1.
4. Please continue to give to the Lottie Moon Offering. We are very close to our goal. Your gift will make a difference in our mission effort.

RIGHT NOW MEN OF BRIGHTON BAPTIST, WE NEED SOME OF THIS!
If you study military strategy, you will find a recurring theme: divide the evemy. Separate them and isolate them. If you've ever watched a nature episode on the Discovery channel, then you have seen how the animals hunt and divide the weakest off from the herd.
Satan, our enemy, wants to do the exact same thing. Separate us. Isolate us. Make a man feel like he is all alone. "No one else at our church would be able to help me with this," he whispers. "No one else is struggling like you." and the big lie he whispers to us is that "No one else really cares." Which is just a step from saying, God doesn't care. Even though you know they are all lies, you can't believe how quickly you will fall for them. So what do you need to carry on with these battles? You need encouragement. It is so simple and many of us don't realize how much we need it.
The sooner you release to God that last hold-out for control of your life, the more content you'll be. When you realize you're just along for the ride, and God's at the wheel, you will-under the power of the Holy Spirit-relinquish it, and then be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy your journey with God so much more.
"Great is the Lord! He is most worthy or praise! No one can measure his greatness." Psalm 145:3
Come join our fresh start for 2012
